Fleet
In addition to the big lorries, there are always a van and a 12-ton lorry available for pre- and on carriages. Direct transport in short-distance traffic is possible on a daily basis with 40-ton lorries and smaller vehicles.
Our warehouse allows us to handle import and export goods, as well as goods from short-distance traffic. Our own workshop allows us to perform basic repairs at trailers and tractor units.
All tractor units are equipped with air conditioning and stationary air conditioning units in order to create optimum conditions for our drivers in their daily work.

What does payload mean?
According to legislation, the overall weight of the loaded vehicle must not exceed 40 tons for heavy-duty lorries. As the tractor unit and the trailer have an own weight of approximately 16 tons, a maximum payload of 24 ton remains. Furthermore, there are trailers with a reduced own weight (light trailers), capable to load a maximum of 27 tons.
A 12-ton lorry can load up to 6 tons depending on the vehicle structure.
A van usually can be loaded with 900 kg. Special vehicles can be loaded with up to 1400 kg.

What must be observed for the transport of hazardous goods?
The transport of such goods require vehicles with hazardous goods equipment and drivers with hazardous goods license.
All lorries in our company have hazardous goods equipment, and most of our drivers have a hazardous goods license. We perform regular hazardous goods training measures in our company under the participation of drivers and dispatchers, and we regularly control the equipment of our vehicles for integrity and possible expiration (similar to first aid kits in passenger cars). In addition, we cooperate with a hazardous goods agency.

Crane loading
When loading goods with cranes, a special trailer roof is necessary, the so-called Edscha roof. All our trailers are equipped with this roof type.

Load damage by fugitives during traffic to the UK
The interface from the European mainland to the isle of Great Britain is a "main traffic route" for fugitives. More than once, also we had trouble with these illegal passengers on our ferry routes. They cut open the trailer roofs and stayed on the cargo until we arrived in the UK. Of course, the cargo was exposed to the weather due to the damaged roofs.
We could sustainably solve this problem by retrofitting all our trailers with wire mesh reinforced roofs. Cutting open the roof is impossible now.
